Development Update 12/06/2024
Aft overhead panel textured, forward overhead panel modeled, and the control stand takes shape.

We're thrilled to share another round of progress updates on our AFL 737 MAX development. Our 3D and art teams have been hard at work, and we're excited to reveal the milestones we've recently achieved.

Airfoillabs Team

Aft Overhead Panel Texturing
We've completed the texturing of the aft overhead panel, ensuring that every surface detail and subtle wear pattern reflects the authenticity and quality you expect. PBR materials now bring these components to life, capturing realistic lighting behavior and texture depth.

Forward Overhead Panel Modeling
The forward overhead panel's 3D model is now finished! Our team focused intently on achieving precision in shape, component placement, and dimensional accuracy. This critical piece of the flight deck will soon receive its detailed textures, leading to a fully immersive pilot environment.

Control Stand (Throttle Quadrant) Modeling
Another big step forward: the 3D model of the control stand, including the throttle quadrant, has been completed. This vital part of the cockpit, from throttle levers to trim wheels, is now ready to move into the texturing and fine-tuning phases. Our designers have taken great care to replicate the correct ergonomics and mechanical details that make operating these controls both realistic and satisfying.
What's Next?
As we celebrate these milestones, our team is already preparing for the next steps: implementing system logic, refining cockpit animations, and testing advanced aerodynamic parameters. Every detail matters, and we remain dedicated to delivering an immersive, accurate simulation experience.
Clear skies,
Juraj, Airfoillabs
