Development Update 11/08/2024
Aft overhead panel texturing and the base flight model for the AFL 737 MAX.

We're excited to share our latest progress on the AFL 737 MAX project! Our 3D team is currently focusing on the aft overhead panel, bringing another crucial piece of the flight deck to life. The texturing phase is well underway, with our artists meticulously crafting PBR materials to ensure authentic wear patterns and surface responses that match real-world aircraft.

Flight Model Development
In parallel with our 3D work, we've successfully implemented the base X-Plane flight model for the 737 MAX. This foundation will allow us to:
Fine-tune basic flight characteristics
Test preliminary ground handling behavior
Verify weight and balance configurations
Begin initial performance correlations
Stay Tuned
While we're excited about this progress, we want to remind our community that we're still in the early stages. Each component requires extensive testing and refinement to meet our standards for accuracy and authenticity.
We're committed to regular development updates as we continue this journey. Your support and patience mean everything to us as we work to create the most authentic 737 MAX simulation possible for X-Plane.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Clear skies,
Juraj, Airfoillabs
